An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
