Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his first trophy for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult period, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his first trophy since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt after spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is really nice," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
The player's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted commentators to question if his ability to compete at the highest level was over.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial chances in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched the win with a point at the net area, with Moutet incapable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
